Il Borgo di Mattia is a small hamlet of renovated stone farmhouses in the San Sabino area of the municipality of Cerreto di Spoleto (PG) — 650 metres above sea level, among the woods and clearings of the Valnerina.
Six houses, each with its own name: Carpino, Olmo, Ginestra, Mandorlo, Ciliegio and Quercia. Il Borgo is a good starting point for exploring the valley: about 25 minutes from Norcia, 30 from Spoleto, 15 from rafting on the Nera river and 25 from the Ponte Tibetano di Sellano — the longest in Europe — with the Monti Sibillini within easy reach for hikes.
