Rasiglia is a tiny village on the slopes of Monte Puale, famous for the many spring-water channels that run through its streets, fed by the springs of the Menotre river. Water has historically represented the village's wealth: since the Middle Ages it powered the mills and fulling machines for wool processing, a textile activity that shaped the local economy for centuries.
Today the village, almost entirely pedestrianized, has become one of Umbria's most photographed destinations thanks to its small stone bridges, the still-visible mill wheels, and the flowers that decorate the windowsills along the streams in summer.
A one-hour walk is enough to discover it all, but its suspended atmosphere invites you to linger longer, perhaps with a stop at one of the small artisan workshops in the center. About 30 minutes from the farm stay.
